Privacy Policy

Effective date: 20-03-2027
Last updated: 20-03-2027

This Privacy Policy describes how Suki (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and protects information when you use our mobile application (“App”). Suki is a trivia-style app for couples: you answer questions together. We aim to be straightforward about what we collect and why.

If you have questions, contact us at support@suki.app

1. Information we collect

Account and profile

  • Email address and basic authentication data when you sign in with Apple or Google (handled by those providers and our backend).

  • Name, age, and zodiac sign for you and, where you enter them, for your partner — so we can personalize prompts and gameplay.

Audio and microphone

The current version of the App does not access your microphone, capture voice input, or record audio. We do not collect, store, or transmit any sound or voice recordings. See Section 3 for details.

Usage data (analytics)

When you are signed in, we may log product analytics in our own systems, such as:

  • Sign-in and onboarding completion

  • Game sessions (e.g., game started, questions answered or skipped)

  • When you open the App or interact with premium features

These events are tied to your user account in our database so we can improve the App. We do not sell your personal information.

Purchases and subscriptions

If you subscribe or make in-app purchases, Apple and/or Google (and our subscription partner RevenueCat, where applicable) process payment-related data according to their terms and ours. We receive information needed to confirm your subscription status.

Device and technical data

Like most apps, our service providers may process technical data (for example, device type, identifiers needed for sign-in or purchases, and standard logs) when you use the App or our backend.

2. How we use information

We use the information above to:

  • Create and secure your account and keep you signed in

  • Run gameplay, store your profile and progress, and sync across sessions

  • Understand how the App is used so we can fix issues and improve the product

  • Handle subscriptions and comply with applicable rules

  • Respond to you if you contact support

  • Protect the security and integrity of the App and our users

We do not use your information to build advertising profiles for third parties.

3. Audio and microphone

  • Today, the App does not use the microphone and does not record or process voice. We have no audio recordings and no voice data on our servers or in the App for this purpose.

  • If we introduce voice features in the future, we will update this Policy before or when they go live, describe what is collected (if anything), and request any new permissions required by your device. Unless we say otherwise in an updated Policy, we still will not store raw audio recordings of your voice on our systems.

If you have questions about device permissions shown by the operating system, contact us at support@suki.app

4. Third-party services

We rely on service providers that process data on our behalf or as part of delivering the App:

Service

Role

Supabase

Authentication, database, and related backend (including server-side features such as account deletion).

Apple Sign-In

Sign-in and, on Apple devices, in-app purchases per Apple’s rules.

Google Sign-In

Sign-in.

RevenueCat

Subscription and purchase management (where enabled).

Apple / Google (app stores)

App distribution and payment processing for purchases.

These providers have their own privacy policies. We encourage you to review them. We only share what is needed for them to perform their services.

5. Data retention

  • Account and profile data are kept while your account is active.

  • Analytics events may be stored for a limited time for product improvement; we do not use them for ad targeting.

  • No audio or voice recordings are collected or retained today, as described in Section 3.

When you delete your account (see below), we work to remove associated personal data from our systems, subject to reasonable backup cycles and legal requirements.

6. Account deletion

You can delete your account from inside the App:

  1. Open Settings.

  2. Choose Delete Account and confirm.

This requests permanent deletion of your account through our backend. Some information may be retained for a short period in backups or where the law requires.

7. Children’s privacy

The App is not directed at children under 16. You must be at least 16 years old to use the App (consistent with the age range we allow in onboarding). We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe we have, contact us at support@suki.app and we will take appropriate steps.

8. Data security

We use industry-standard measures appropriate to a small product team, including secure connections and reputable cloud providers. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, or to object or restrict certain processing. You can update profile details in the App where supported, delete your account as described above, or email support@suki.app for help.

If you are in the European Economic Area, the UK, or similar regions, you may also have the right to complain to a data protection authority.

10. International transfers

We operate from Canada and use providers (such as Supabase) that may process data in other countries. By using the App, you understand your information may be transferred to countries with different data-protection laws, where we use appropriate safeguards where required.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the new version with a revised Effective date (and, if the changes are material, we may notify you in the App or by email where we have your address). Continued use of the App after the effective date means you accept the updated Policy.
